Movie Monday actually on a Monday

This week there are two videos... to make up for the lack of videos this past month. For both videos, if you want the best quality, hit the "HQ" button in the bottom right hand corner when the video starts.

The first video is "If you're happy and you know it". Sorry it cuts off at the end. We thought we had enough memory on the camera for the whole thing, but apparently we didn't. Otherwise it was a good video, so I decided to share.

Randomness

Lots has been going on, but nothing that would be interesting to anyone on here. My movie Mondays kind of fell along the way side because I've been busy and I didn't really have anything to show. For like 2 weeks there was nothing, then this past weekend, I got 2 videos of Elijah... being Elijah. I will share them in the coming weeks or maybe I'll treat you to two next Monday. I guess the only way to find out is to come back and see.

Otherwise, there has been busyness in my house. Joe got a new CD cabinet, so the living room was rearranged the weekend before last, then we finished decluttering the dining room on Sunday. Since Elijah has decided that he will just take one long nap instead of two short naps, things are so much easier on the weekend. I feel like once he's down for his nap, I can actually do a project instead of just starting it and stopping in the middle because he woke up after an hour. Now we do 2-3 hour naps... and it's so nice.

The next project we're gonna do is get baby gates for the entryway and the doorway to the kitchen. It's a project because the baby gate I want to get is like 8 feet long and is mounted to the wall. For the other one I think we'll just get a pressure mounted gate with a little door. And that will be it... until I think of something else that I want to do.

I haven't scrapbooked since I finished my last layout, so I will leave you with a photo of Elijah. :-)

Layout and a cool blog

So you know how last week I was stressing and pulling my hair out about this whole "I gotta make a layout fast" thing. Well, turns out that what was suppose to happen on the 15th got postponed(after I finished my layout of course) til today because the store manager went out of town for the weekend and stuff happened with files in the kit. I just love to hurry up and wait. It's my favorite thing.

But enough of my rambling, I can finally post my layout and here it is:

Also, I wanted to mention a blog I just LOVE and I'm sure some of you have already heard of her, but I'm so behind the times in lots of stuff (I guess that's what happens when you're a mom). It's Kwernerdesign. She is apparently part of the Two Peas In A Bucket staff, but I didn't find that out until I started reading her blog. She has some awesome stuff on there. Almost every Monday and Friday she has a video of how to make a card. I love watching her make them, it's so relaxing... like watching cooking shows. It's made me want to get back into making cards again, but alas I have no room or time, so that will have to wait at least another year or two. The other thing that's on there is (I think it's every week) a color inspiration, where she'll pick out 3 or 4 colors and challenges the readers to make something with those colors, be it a layout or a card or project... whatever. It's really cool, you should check it out. Ok enough gushing...

Nothing is really going on in my life. Joe is enjoying his job. I'm tolerating my job. Elijah is talking up a storm. Yesterday we were playing with bubbles and I swore he said "bubbas". I'm also told he said "gop gop" the other day referring to my dad who is pop-pop. His new favorite things to say are "gaga" for either "I'm hungry" or "food" and "Daaaaaaaaaad(very hard emphasis on the d at the end)" I'm not sure if he'll talk early, but he's well on his way. I talked in complete sentences when I was 2, but I have no idea if it's genetic or not. I guess we'll see. Other than that, I've just been spring cleaning and boxing things up, cause my living room just looked too cluttered. Usually I don't mind, but this was getting out of hand.

Scrapbooking Junk

I have been stressing since yesterday... do you know why? It's not for any catastrophic reason... It's because a certain place I do a challenge at is coming out with a certain mega kit on the 15th. As a member of the staff, I was offered the chance to download the kit for free and create a layout with it for the "this is what you can do with this kit" preview.

This is not the first time I was offered this chance. Actually I have done this every quarter for the past year and a half. This time I am at a loss though. I know what I want to do my layout about and I know how many pictures I want to include... I even know how I want to do my title. My problem is I don't know where to put my pictures on the page. I have looked through the many many sketches I have acquired and even though the sketch magazine Joe bought me last month to no avail. Usually when I see "the" sketch, it pops out at me and says "This is your inspiration". I have had no sketches do this.

The other reason I'm stressing is because we weren't told the theme for the kit or able to download the stuffs until the 8th. Which means I had less than a week to come up with all this stuff AND do the layout... This coming from the person who takes 15 weeks to do one of her own layouts (hence why I'm not on any CTs at the moment).

In conclusion, I would really appreciate any links to sketches that have 2 photos (they can be paper scrapbooking sketches) . TIA.

Layout and News

I did another layout. It kind of speaks for itself.

This was the day of Elijah's dedication. He looked so handsome in his dress shirt and tie. He reminded me of a little man, so I decided to scrapbook about it.

Now the news... I wasn't posting about my life because, to me, nothing was going right and I was waiting for everything to blow over. I don't like to vent on here, so there was pretty much nothing to post about, except the new stuff Elijah was doing. So, without further ado - Joe got a job. It's permanate, it's full time, it pays well and has great benefits. He was told yesterday that he would find out in 2 weeks, but the guy met with the other guy and they decided to offer it to him today. Of course he accepted. :-) He starts March 9th. Yayness!!

On top of that, Spring is almost here and I'm really excited about that too. Hehe. But, for now, I'm out.

Alright, here it is. It's really short, but it was the best I could do without him dropping to the ground and crawling at warp speed towards the camera.

Movie Monday - Postponed

Ok, so Movie Monday is going to be postponed, until tomorrow, again this week because I forgot to download the videos onto my external hard drive AND I forgot to bring my camera with me to work today. Dance is tonight, so I'm not gonna have time to do it later... Life is busy.

This week you'll have a choice, it's either Elijah walking OR Elijah doing "clap clap clap your hands" with the computer game. Let me know. The winning video I will post this week. The runner up I will post next week.

A Belated Movie Monday

I was off for Presidents Day, so that meant spending all day with Elijah and Joe, so I really didn't have time to post a video. And things didn't turn out the way I had hoped this weekend. I ended up getting sick on Friday night and trying to get back to normal on Saturday, so here is another oldie:
